The Beale Beastie is a Sprint distance triathlon set in the stunning Beale Park, Berkshire. Brilliant as a season starter for both novices and experienced athletes.
The Beale Beastie is a 400m open water lake swim in the cool, clear waters of Beale Park Lake. Enjoy a challenging 20km bike ride through the glorious Berkshire Downs – taking on one or two notorious local hills (it is a Beastie after all). To finish up, your 5km run passes through beautiful parkland, along the banks of the River Thames and into the dappled light of Beale Park woods – truly mixed terrain.
All competitors receive an event t-shirt, a shiny medal and a fabulous goodie bag. You can also buy an exclusive event technical tee, and a hoody to remind you that you beat The Beastie! We’ve got lots of loos, an event village and plenty of food and drink to buy after the event.
If you fancy tackling The Beale Beastie in 2018, here’s what people who Beat The Beastie had to say about our 2017 event:
“Just a quick note to say thank you for such a wonderful event at Beale Park this morning. I and everyone else I have spoken to about it have agreed it was really well organised and set in a fantastic location. “
“Such an amazing event today!!! Really enjoyed it as did everyone else! Thank you to you and the team.”
“I would to say a massive thank you for today’s event. It was no wonder all your hard work showed in the organisation which was perfect. The enthusiasm of all the Marshals was outstanding. Needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed the event and will booking for next year.”
“Brilliant organisation before the event – great to have the water temperature updates by email – and on the day. Fabulous course with something for everyone. Good idea to have a short swim as the first open water race of the season due to water temperature. Very supportive marshalls who knew what they were doing was a bonus. Congratulations to all involved in the organisation for a job well done!!”
“Thought this was going to be my last tri, but thinking already about next year! Well done to all organisers and marshals, great day, thank you.”
“Loved the bike course, glad it didn’t involve actual Streatley Hill but great combo of climbs, flat sections and some nice downhills too.”
“Beautiful route, well organised – thank you!”
“Flawless organisation and great marshalling”
